At Conna Nursing and Convalescent Home, activities and events are an integral part of the lifestyle for the people here. We recognise the importance of a full calendar of activities. Staying active makes a huge contribution to individuals’ physical and emotional wellbeing.
Regular exercise helps a person maintain mobility and strength as they grow older therefore we provide entertaining and enjoyable classes that everyone can enjoy. We combine physical activities with social activities such as home-baking with our catering team.
Our lounge is specifically designed with recreational activities in mind, such as card games, bingo, musical entertainment and TV. We organise events that enable residents to socialise with one another. An active social life is encouraged here and we always welcome families and friends to visit – we recognise how a good social life can positively impact their personal wellbeing.
Our enclosed garden is a safe and secure space that residents can enjoy the outdoors.
Mass is celebrated on Saturday and on other days by visiting clergy. Holy Communion is distributed on Sunday. Other religious clergy are also welcome to conduct services for
Our dedicated manager and activities coordinators enjoy spending time with residents on a one-to-one basis to chat and find out what they like and dislike. Having this interaction is also very valuable for the families as we can then inform them if their loved ones are happy and getting along with the other residents and staff.
